Ladies day.

I'm sorry for my lack of posts recently, I've been out living life and shit and haven't had a chance to stop and document my outfits (there've been a few cute ones though!)

This was today, which was spent being ladies with two of the cutest little girls I know. I love them to bits but thank them for reminding me that I don't want kids for a very, very, very long time. They cramp my shopping style yo.

Colour Pop Monday.

I bought these pants a few weeks ago while shopping with my bestie. We'd been in this (huge outlet-style) shop for ages (as is quite common for me) and by the time she found me again I was in front of the mirror, holding them up on the hanger (because I usually can't be bothered trying things on) pulling 'Hmmm...Do I like these or not?' faces at my reflection.

'What d'ya reckon?' I asked her.

'Umm...they're very...out there...'

I put on the blue blazer and then continued holding the pants up in front of my legs.

'How about now? With this?! I think it could work!'

'...they're very...out there,' she continued, thought this time with a little laugh that told me she knew I'd already made up my mind.

'Yep. I'm doing it!'

And when I chucked my pile of goodies on the counter and the pants scanned up as only $5, I knew it was meant to be. Love.

Bringing some much needed colour to a grey, gloomy, wet Monday. I was meant to spend it studying but instead I spent it being fabulous with fabulous company. (You can tell that I was actually up pretty late cramming by the massive bags under my eyes though! So obviously I deserved the day off!) Total outfit cost inclusive of shoes, bag and jewellery was under $200! (Under $120 if you lose the shoes and bag!) Cray.

(Lol so my 'look I'm having fun' shots come off a bit crazy *shrugs*)

Interviews

So, yesterday I sat my first ever interview for a big-girl job. I planned my outfit the night before, did the last minute cramming, rehearsed my answers to possible interview questions, gave myself little pep talks in my head. I told myself that I'd be fine; that I'd smash it and get what I deserved.

The morning of, I woke up well before my alarm was due to go off. I wasn't jittery or nervous at all. I did the usual sweep of social media pages before dragging myself out of bed, ironed my dress, and had a leisurely breakfast of muesli, yoghurt, berries and nuts with a side of coffee out on the balcony in the sun (in my pjs) while flicking through pages of a book that I'm reading (very, very slowly as I don't actually like to read lol).

I got dressed, put on my face (for today was one of those rare occasions I was going to wear daytime make up), did my hair and took some luvos for my blog (it should be noted that it was a warm day, and I have the tendency to sweat profusely, so my hair was already beginning to stick to my face at this point).

I got to uni (where the interviews were being held) with two hours to spare. A few of my friends had already finished their interviews and were chilling outside the room. Others were freaking out, and I was that annoying/encouraging person telling them not to worry; that 'they'd be fiiinnnneee, they had this.'

By the time it got to my interview time, my cool, calm, collected façade was beginning to break and my hands started to shake beyond my control. I laughed it off, because, what else are you gonna do at that point?!

So, I went in, shaking and super nervous. I stumbled over some words and there were points in my responses to possible questions that I'd rehearsed the night before that I'd completely forgot about come actual interview. There was a lot of 'I'd do this. No, wait, hang on, first I should've done this then I'd do that.'  I also talk with my hands a lot, which meant that my watch and bracelet constantly jingled and jangled - I actually had to stop, grab on to my wrist, and apologise about it at one point lol. The interview panel - consisting of three Chief Radiation Therapists (not a daunting thought at all!) - were super dooper nice though. They laughed off my scatterbrains and even made a joke about my jangling. I left feeling quietly confident, so if all goes to plan I'll have a job at my centre of choice for next year. I'll get back to you guys about it at the end of the month, when we're meant to hear back. Fingers crossed!

VFNO (in monochrome again).

One of my favourite nights of the year - Vogue Fashion's Night Out Sydney. It's like Thursday night shopping on steroids (injected with loads of glitz, glamour, nibblies, alcohol, freebies and impeccably dressed, ridiculously good-looking people as far as the eye can see).

I chose to spend the night in monochrome (yet again, I'm a little obsessed). If only I didn't sweat so ridiculously much, causing my face to melt, my hair to stick to my face, and my stick on bra to no longer stick (why yes that was awkward!) causing a need for an emergency stop at cK Underwear. Oh well, I was gonna go there for the male underwear models anyway. #hotmess
