It's been a quarter of a year since my last post (I actually had to look that up just then), and even then, it was a bit of a shitty one. I'm sorry for my absence. Again, that thing called life gets in the way some times. Not that anyone should really care. I don't even know if anyone really reads this, but I've had a few thousand hits while I've been on hiatus, which makes me think that perhaps I'm better liked when I'm away lol. To that I say tough luck, coz I'm back biatches.
Okay. Where to start? A few major things have happened since we last met.
I finished uni. Finally. For good.
I fractured a rib at training while sparring, (my first broken body part after 14 years of martial arts!) and had to take it easy for a couple of months (which is really hard for me because I'm usually very active). The break took it's toll on my body and I started to not be able to fit clothes. Depressing.
I fell in love with a boy. He loves me despite my recently acquired pudginess. I've never been happier.
I went on my first overseas adventure, unaccompanied by family (with my childhood best friend). It had it's ups and downs (including getting my wallet stolen in Rome, and food poisoning in Barcelona), but I absolutely loved it, and I'll never forget all the wonderful people we met, places we stayed, things we saw, and food we ate. I came home even pudgier, and with eleven new pairs of shoes and a suitcase plus additional parcels full of new clothes. I can't wait to go again.
The boy I fell in love with had to move back home to Melbourne for work. I never thought I could do long distance, because it's too hard and it sucks arse (and it still does) but we're making it work. I posted him a jar of love heart-shaped Mars Bar and Toblerone cookies for valentine's day, and received some origami in return (I'm assuming it's because I'm Asian and he's racist).
I officially became a registered Radiation Therapist, and started my first big-girl job at the hospital I had always wanted to work at. Things are going well so far, and I'm looking forward to getting my first pay check this week! Unfortunately this also means a uniform (what a waste of my wardrobe!) - which means I'll have less outfits to post, but that's what weekends and RDO's are for right?
This is what I'm wearing on this wet and gloomy Sydney Saturday: floral, chambray, dad's old shoes, and my new balayage hair.
Dress: Cotton On; Shirt: Emerson; Bag & Shoes: Vintage; Watch: Forever New; Ring: H&M; Hair by: Hairloom J; Lipstick: MAC Rubi Woo.
And this I meant to blog a few weeks ago, but never got around to:
Top: Imprint; Pants: Primark (from London); Sandals: Parisian (from the Philippines); Bag: Sandler; Necklace: Market Stall; Sunnies: MANGO.
Until next time kids (hopefully it won't be as long as last time!)
xx
Vinnie
